What is Maverick Place?

It’s a top-quality Arlington apartment community designed especially with University of Texas at Arlington students in mind. Maverick Place features a variety of spacious, furnished apartments plus a full set of community features such as a resort-style pool, 24-hour fitness center, study lounge, business center , dog park and more.

Is Maverick Place part of University of Texas at Arlington?

Can I live with friends, or can you match me with roommates?

You can select your roommate(s), or you can apply on your own and we can match you with other students. Applicants answer a short list of lifestyle questions to help in the matching process.

What are per-person contracts?

Instead of requiring all roommates to sign a joint lease, each person at Maverick Place has their own individual contract, with one person per bedroom. This means you are only responsible for paying for yourself — not your roommates. Even if a roommate moves out or other bedrooms in your apartment are empty, you only pay the rate for your bedroom.

What is included in the rate?

Each resident at Maverick Place pays a flat rate that includes:

  • Furnishings
  • In-unit laundry
  • High-speed internet
  • Water/sewer
  • Electricity included ($25 per person, per month allowance)
  • Trash disposal
  • Community features – pool, fitness center, etc.

What size are the apartments?

The spacious accommodations at Maverick Place include 1, 2 and 4 bedroom apartments, with a private bedroom-bathroom suite for each resident.

Are the apartments furnished?

Yes, all apartments at Maverick Place have a furniture package that includes a full-size bed, desk and chair, nightstand, and dresser drawers in each bedroom. The living area includes a sofa, chair, coffee table, entertainment stand, and barstools. To see a sample of the furniture and other finishes, please visit our model apartment.

When do the contracts start and end?

The standard term is January 01, 1970 to January 01, 1970, with payments made in 12 equal installments. Limited alternate dates are available; please inquire with our staff. Click here for a sample agreement.

Is a co-signer or financial guaranty required?

After a Housing Agreement is signed, each resident is required to secure their financial obligation in one of three ways: by providing a qualifying guarantor (often a parent); by pre-paying the final 2 installments; or by purchasing a third-party guaranty from our partner, Leap. In limited cases, we may also waive the requirement for a financial guaranty if a resident has sufficient income of their own.

Can I pay by credit card?

Yes. Residents can pay online 24 hours per day, by credit card or ACH electronic checking. Maverick Place also offers automatic payment by either credit card or checking account — just fill out one page, one time and payments will be made automatically. Convenience fees apply for credit card and debit card payments.

Will my financial aid cover charges at Maverick Place?

Your living costs at Maverick Place can be covered by financial aid, just like on-campus housing. Any available financial aid funds, after university charges are satisfied, are released to the student for non-institutional expenses, such as off-campus housing. These funds can be used to pay charges at Maverick Place. Normal payment deadlines will continue to apply.

Is Maverick Place open to non-students?

Nearly all residents at Maverick Place are students at UT-Arlington. The per-person contracts are also designed with students in mind. Nonetheless, Maverick Place is an Equal Opportunity housing provider and welcomes applications from non-students. Family members are welcome as well, subject to occupancy limits. because of the need to match student roommates, non-students must apply together with enough roommates to fill the desired residence.

What kind of safety and security are provided?

Maverick Place has a monitored fire-sprinkler system, along with individually locking bedroom doors. Community courtesy patrols are provided at select times. Management staff are also available 24×7 and can be reached by a 24-hour phone number.

What are the policies on pets, smoking and guests?

Maverick Place is a pet-friendly community, subject to limits on animals and breeds. The community is smoke-free in all indoor and adjacent spaces. Guests are welcome at all times, subject to the consent of roommates and security considerations. Overnight guests are welcome, with limits on the number of days and guests.

Can I park my vehicle at Maverick Place?

Maverick Place offers free on-site parking for residents and guests.

What other transportation options will I have?

The University of Texas at Arlington shuttle bus service picks up right in front of the community, and runs on weekdays between 7:30am to 9pm, during Fall and Spring semesters when class is in session.
